Akun Airport Technician

     The City of Akutan is seeking an Akun Facility Technician. The airport Akun Facility Technician will be responsible for continuous upkeep and support for City facilities including daily generator maintenance and maintenance of City buildings, equipment, stocking bathrooms, baggage handling, mopping and cleaning waiting area and any other responsibilities that are essential to the smooth functioning of the City facilities.

     One year experience in facility and generator maintenance is preferred, although a blend of experience and education may be substituted.

Finance Manager - Full-time and Finance Clerk/Admin Assistant - Part-time

     The City of Akutan is seeking detail-oriented professionals to join our administrative office team in mid-town Anchorage. The Finance Manager candidate will provide daily finance and bookkeeping activities in QuickBooks software including accounts receivable/payable, payroll, general journal transactions, budgets, grants reporting, and bank reconciliations.  Five years’ experience and a degree in accounting is preferred, although a blend of experience and education may be substituted. We desire someone with experience in rural municipal fund accounting and enterprise funds, including utility billing and point-of-sales systems. This is a full-time position. 

     The Finance Clerk applicant will support the Finance Manager and City Administrator, part-time, at a level depending on experience. Still in college or ready to start your career? This position allows you to develop and grow your career in administrative and finance support essentials.
